The student-run newspaper, created by the Journalism Club and based in the Connectivity Center, continues to play an important role in keeping our school community informed, connected, and engaged. Under the guidance of advisor Mrs. Macrina, students meet once a month to collaborate on producing a newspaper that highlights the people, events, and stories that matter most to our school.
Throughout the year, members of the Journalism Club work together to gather information on current school events, community happenings, and important announcements, ensuring that readers stay up to date on what is happening both inside and outside the building. In addition to covering upcoming activities, students also take time to reflect on and showcase past events, celebrating accomplishments, milestones, and memorable moments from across the school community.
The process gives students hands-on experience in journalism, including researching topics, conducting interviews, writing articles, editing content, and working as a team to meet publication goals. Club members learn the importance of clear communication, accuracy, and creativity while developing valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Traditionally, the Journalism Club has produced hard copies of the newspaper, which are made available throughout the school for staff and students to read and enjoy. This year, the club is excited to expand its reach by offering the newspaper in a digital format, making it accessible to an even wider audience. Families, community members, and anyone interested in staying connected to school life can now enjoy the publication online.
By sharing stories, highlighting achievements, and promoting school and community events, the Journalism Club helps strengthen school spirit and ensures that voices from across the school are heard. The continued dedication of the students, along with the leadership and support of Mrs. Macrina, makes the school newspaper a meaningful and lasting part of our school culture.
We encourage everyone to take time to read the latest edition—whether in print or digital form—and support the students who work hard each month to keep our community informed.
