The deadline to apply is April 15.
Our school district offers a free, full-day Universal Pre-K (UPK) program, Monday-Friday, for children who live within the district. Enrollment will remain open through April 15, and any eligible family may apply.
Please note: According to the New York State Education Department, an eligible UPK student is a child who is four (4) years old by December 1, but not five (5) years old by December 1, and therefore not yet eligible for kindergarten.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available openings, each application will be assigned a number. Numbers will be drawn at random, and selected applicants will be offered placement in the program. Applications not selected will be placed on a waiting list in numerical order. Any applications received after the open enrollment period will also be added to the waiting list.
Families will be notified of acceptance into the preschool program by mid-July, and open houses will take place in August.
UPK applications will be available through the Primary Elementary School Office, on our district website, or by contacting the UPK Director.
