Michael Scalise is recognized for outstanding work in the classroom and on the football field.
The 23rd Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Ceremony for the CNY Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame happened on March 26, 2023 at the Syracuse University JMA Wireless Dome. Sixty-nine College and High School Senior football players from the Central New York region were honored for their academic achievements. Each player received a scholarship from the foundation.
Westmoreland Senior, Michael Scalise, received this years CNY Chapter of the NFF and CFF Scholar-Athlete Award. Scalise was a three-year starting quarterback for the Bulldogs, and kept and outstanding GPA. "He is a tremendous leader and a fine example of how a high school scholar-athlete should be," said Westmoreland football coach, Tim Gates.
Michael plans to major in Political Science at the University of Rochester in Fall 2023.
