Westmoreland Central School would like to thank Hot Off The Brick for their generous donation to our ESports team.
The pizzeria donated $250.00 to the program so they could buy hooded sweatshirts.
In the Fall and Spring, the team who currently has 12 students, participates in a nationwide tournament where they play video games. Valorant is the game they have a team for this year.
Gianni Notaro, the Social Studies Department Chairperson, started the club about four years ago. “It is wonderful to have a local business take an interest in our students and support their interests,” said Mr. Notaro. “We were able to purchase official team sweatshirts for our players thanks to their donation.”
Notaro said some students also play Fortnite, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, and Super Smash Bros.
