ZI3 STEAM nights

Throughout the 2022-23 school year, the Zone for Imagination, Innovation, and Inspiration’ (ZI3) plan themed STEAM nights based on the time of year. It’s a chance for students and their families to get together and have fun learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM).

In October, nearly 150 students in grades pre-k through eight attended the Halloween Family night at the Upper Elementary School. Families completed three of four guided STEAM activities like, Halloween Cupcake Decorating, Glow Pumpkins, and Haunted House/Trick or Treat Wood carving, and making a Witch Gnome. CLICK HERE for photo gallery!

Some snowy weather may have postponed the “Santa’s Workshop” STEAM night, but dozens of families still showed up! On December 19, students and their families made special Candy Canes, Gingerbread houses, and they even had a surprise visit from Santa! CLICK HERE for more photos!

Right before they “hopped” into Spring Break, students had some fun with their “Peeps” at the ZI3 Peep STEAM night. Classrooms got to make their own “Peep” shows, and families voted for their favorite one. They also painted with Peeps, made Peep catapults, Peep Wind Racers, and browsed the Peep Gallery. CLICK HERE

Thank you to all of our attendees and volunteers for making the ZI3 STEAM events fun and successful!
