rIDE FOR MISSING CHILDREN

WESTMORELAND, N.Y.- On Friday, June 6, Westmoreland Central School District will support the Ride for Missing Children Mohawk Valley, a powerful event raising awareness about missing and exploited children.

Riders will depart Elevate Sports Complex at 8:10 a.m. , travel south on Route 233, return at 2:30 p.m., and head north again at 2:55 p.m. Please expect busing and traffic delays, especially during secondary arrival and elementary dismissal.

This mission is personal to our region—30 years ago, a local girl went missing while riding her bike in Sauquoit, and her case remains unresolved. In 2022, the FBI logged over 359,000 missing child reports, with New York State among the top three in active cases.

The Ride supports the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which helped recover 88% of reported missing children last year. Your patience and support help keep this mission alive and our children safer.
