WESTMORELAND, N.Y.- Due to the recent severe storms in Westmoreland, many local businesses and homes remain without power. Downed power lines and uprooted trees have created dangerous travel conditions throughout the community.
As a result, all classes scheduled for Monday, June 23, 2025, are cancelled.
· Any exams scheduled at the Jr./Sr. High School for June 23 will be rescheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the same time.
· Olympic Day events for the Primary and Upper Elementary Schools are cancelled.
Updated Schedule for Primary and Upper Elementary Schools:
· Tuesday, June 24 & Wednesday, June 25 – Full days of school
· Thursday, June 26
o Upper Elementary dismisses at 12:35 p.m.
o Primary School dismisses at 12:40 p.m.
· Friday, June 27
o Upper Elementary dismisses at 10:30 a.m.
o Primary School dismisses at 10:35 a.m.
Cooling stations available:
The town of Westmoreland has made the Town Hall and the Fire Department available for vulnerable adults.
These cooling stations are open to residents who:
• Use oxygen or other medically necessary electronic devices
• Are pregnant
• Have small children
• Are elderly
• Have other special needs or medical concerns that require air conditioning

• Today: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Tomorrow: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
