In compliance with Dasha’s Law, all staff and students are required to complete annual training on recognizing and responding to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). This training is designed to ensure quick, informed, and effective action during a life-threatening cardiac emergency on school grounds or at school-sponsored events.
All students viewed an SCA awareness video during morning announcements, which was provided by the BOCES Safety Office. Staff members completed a more in-depth training through an online learning platform.
There are eight Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) located throughout the campus, with clearly visible signage identifying their locations in case of an emergency. Each AED is inspected monthly by the maintenance staff to ensure proper working condition and readiness for use.
