“They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky!” As The Addams Family Musical: School Edition prepares to take the stage this Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, students from Westmoreland High School recently had the opportunity to promote the production on local radio station.
Cast members Sam Parzych, Aniras Haas, and Nolan Murphy, along with director Mrs. Davis, appeared on the morning radio show Talk of the Town to give listeners a preview of the show and share more about the characters they portray on stage. The group discussed the excitement of bringing the beloved and iconic Addams Family characters to life and what audiences can expect when the curtain rises this weekend.
During the interview, the students also spoke about the impact that theater has had on them beyond the stage. They explained how participating in theatrical productions has helped them build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and grow both as performers and individuals. Experiences like these not only allow students to express their creativity but also help them develop life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
The cast and director also shared insight into the hard work and dedication that goes into preparing a full-scale musical production. From learning lines and choreography to working with costumes, lighting, and set design, students have been putting in many hours to ensure a memorable performance for the community.
The radio appearance was a great opportunity to promote the production to a wider audience and spread the word beyond the Westmoreland community. A special thank you goes to Rocco LaDuca and the team at 100.7 FM Radio Station for welcoming the students and helping highlight the upcoming performance.
Westmoreland students will take the stage at the historic Stanley Theatre, providing a unique opportunity for the cast to perform in one of the region’s most iconic venues. The production promises to bring plenty of laughs, memorable music, and the delightfully spooky charm that fans of the Addams Family have come to love.
Community members are encouraged to come out and support these talented student performers as they bring this classic story to life. With months of preparation behind them and excitement building, the cast and crew are ready to deliver a spectacular show for audiences of all ages.
