The Westmoreland Teachers Association (WTA) is proud to recognize Kayla Perrault as the Student of the Month for March 2026.
All members of the junior class are initially eligible for this award, with recipients selected by faculty and staff. The criteria for selection include maintaining a minimum average of 80, demonstrating good citizenship and character, and actively participating in school and community activities.
Kayla exemplifies these qualities through her outstanding involvement in a wide range of school organizations. She is an active member of the National Honor Society, serves on the leadership team for Marching Band, and participates in Drama Club, school musicals and plays, Tri-M, Select Choir, Broadway Voices, NYSSMA, and Area All-State.
Beyond the classroom, Kayla is deeply involved in her community. She has contributed her time to events such as the Christmas Tree Lighting, cemetery clean-up efforts, church breakfasts, singing at nursing homes during the holiday season, volunteering at chicken BBQs, and participating in Operation Christmas Child.
Looking ahead, Kayla plans to attend a four-year SUNY college to pursue a degree in psychology or psychiatry, or potentially explore a career in the music industry.
Kayla is the daughter of Mark and Trisha Perrault.
Congratulations to Kayla Perrault on this well-deserved recognition!
