The Pride of Westmoreland Marching Band is excited to announce the inaugural Waves of Sound Marching Band Competition, taking place Saturday, October 10, 2026, on the new turf field at Westmoreland Jr./Sr. High School.
This first-ever competition will welcome seven visiting marching bands and is expected to draw an audience of more than 1,500 spectators from throughout the region.
The event will be a special opportunity for Westmoreland students and the entire community. The Pride of Westmoreland Marching Band brings students together across six grade levels and represents nearly every area of student life, with members also participating in sports, clubs, leadership positions, and other activities.
Supporting the Pride of Westmoreland
Organizing a marching band competition is a major undertaking, and Pride Pack Inc., the fundraising organization supporting the Pride of Westmoreland Marching Band and Westmoreland Winterguard, is seeking community support to help make the event a success. Pride Pack Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Businesses, families, and community members can support the event through sponsorships, raffle basket donations, gift cards, products, and other in-kind donations.
