Serenity Morris

Serenity, a freshman music education major at Grove City College in Pennsylvania, is a three-year member of the 7th Regiment Brass as part of the mellophone line. She was a six-year member of the “Pride of Westmoreland” Marching Band, and served as Drum Major during her final three years.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead this amazing group of people,” Serenity said. “7th Regiment is such a dedicated family that supports each other no matter what they may encounter. I am so proud every time I put my corps necklace around my neck. It represents the people and the organization that mean more to me than anything else.”

Serenity added, “This upcoming season I hope to continue the strength we share in family, but also to push the boundaries. Drum Major is the person who walks first… who leads the team into the battle. However, a leader would be nothing without the family that follows and supports them.”

7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps is a non-profit music and performing arts program based out of New London, Connecticut. 7th Regiment is a member of Drum Corps International’s (DCI) Open Class and is an annual DCI Open Class Finalist and three-time Drumline Battle Champion. The corps strives to provide a top-of-the-line marching arts experience for its members and train them to be better performers and people.

7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps is holding auditions for the 2019 season during the weekend of December 14-16. The group will be performing in Glens Falls on July 21 and in Syracuse on July 24.
