The Westmoreland Music Department hosted the Oneida County Music Educators Association Junior High All-County Auditions on January 9 at Westmoreland Upper Elementary School.
Nearly 600 seventh, eighth and ninth grade students from several area schools auditioned for a spot in the Junior High All-County Festival, which will be held at Westmoreland later this year.
A record 22 Westmoreland students were selected to perform in the festival’s all-county chorus and band. There is also an all-county orchestra.
The following Westmoreland students will perform in the all-county chorus:
Hayden Cadrette, Allison Davis, Margaret Edwards, Alessandra Feldman, Julia Hutchins, Nathan Larish, Sophia Larish, Gabriella Moore, Gabriel Morris, Cayden Osborne, Arianna Robinson and Steven Sovare.
The following Westmoreland students will perform in the all-county band:
Tyler Crumb, Owen Davison, Gavin Haggerty, Katherine Hansson, David Huyck, Justin Jennings, Bailey Metzger, Dakota Saxe, Riley Smith and Cristian Sovare.
The 2019 Oneida County Music Educators Association Junior High All-County Music Festival will take place on March 15-16 at Westmoreland Jr./Sr. High School.
