It was a dream come true for a group of Westmoreland third and fourth grade boys’ basketball players.
The Colgate Raiders Men’s Basketball team hosted the group on February 2 for “Westmoreland Youth Basketball Day.”
During halftime of the Colgate vs. Boston University game, the Westmoreland players took the floor at Cotterell Court for a brief scrimmage. More than 150 fans from Westmoreland made the trip to Hamilton to cheer them on.
After the game, the Westmoreland players were able to meet several of Colgate’s players.
Unfortunately, the Raiders fell to Boston University 76-68.
As of February 11, the Division I Colgate Men’s Basketball team is 15-10 overall and 7-5 in the Patriot League.
