The Westmoreland Boys Varsity Basketball team celebrated Senior Night, at home, on February 5, before taking on Utica Academy of Science (UAS).

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs lost to UAS for the second time this season, 71-44.  Seniors with family

Senior forward Isiah Peck led Westmoreland with 13 points, including two 3-pointers. Freshman forward Jonathan Dillon chipped in 10 points.

UAS was led by senior forward Ryan Maddox and senior guard Lamarcus Merchant, who scored 20 and 18 points respectively.

With the loss, Westmoreland, which features five freshmen and a sophomore, fell to 3-15 overall and 0-9 in league play. UAS improved to 17-1 overall and 8-1 in league play.

Westmoreland has two games left in the regular season. The Bulldogs travel to Sauquoit Valley on February 8 and play Frankfort-Schuyler at home on February 9.

Congratulations to Westmoreland’s four seniors, Isiah Peck, Patrick Albrecht, Joseph Fazio and Dylan Breen, on a great career, and best of luck to the entire team the rest of the season!
