A number of Upper Elementary School students were allowed to take a break from class for a bit of fun outside.

But, they had to earn it.  Boys playing cornhole

On April 11, a select, but very large group of third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students received an invitation to β€œGame Day,” held outside on the playground and under the pavilion. The fun event featured a variety of games including β€œKanJam,” β€œNok-Hockey,” cornhole, ladder ball, basketball, flag football and board games. In order to have received an invitation, students were required to have consistently followed the Upper Elementary School’s rules, β€œThe Bulldog Four.” The rules are:

-I will be responsible.
-I will give my best effort.
-I will be respectful and kind.
-I will be safe.

Teachers determined which students qualified for β€œGame Day.” A similar incentive was held in December, when qualifying students were treated to the movie, β€œThe Grinch,” and popcorn in the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium.
