Parents/Guardians:

According to the New York State Department of Health, some downstate areas are currently experiencing a measles outbreak, specifically parts of Rockland, Orange and Westchester counties, along with parts of Brooklyn.

While the outbreak has not spread to Oneida County, it is primarily affecting unvaccinated children under 18. Due to children having a higher risk of acquiring the measles, the Westmoreland Central School District wishes to share some important information about the illness provided by the New York State Department of Health.
