Sixty-nine sixth grade students are headed to the Jr./Sr. High School for the 2019-20 school year.
The Sixth Grade “Moving Up” Ceremony took place on June 13 in the Upper Elementary School gym.
The ceremony commenced with the sixth grade students entering the gym to music performed by the Westmoreland Jazz Band. Prior to the presentation of certificates, Upper Elementary School Principal Mr. Polera addressed those in attendance and the Sixth Grade Chorus, directed by Mr. Abraham, performed “Colors of the Wind.” Seventh grade students, Lily Mazur and Jakob Mazur, were the keynote speakers. They spoke about their first year in the Jr./Sr. High School and offered some sound advice.
After the ceremony, a brief reception was held in the cafeteria.
Congratulations to all of the sixth grade students “moving up” to the Jr./Sr. High School!
