Every year, Mrs. Bonomo’s first grade class performs a play to share their knowledge about the First Thanksgiving.
On November 22 during the school day, Mrs. Bonomo’s class had a dress rehearsal and performed the play for K-2 students in the school cafeteria. The play was performed for family and friends on November 25. Songs included, “The Pilgrims Came to America,” “Things I’m Thankful For” and “Dinner Bells.”
Leading up to the play, students in Mrs. Bonomo’s class learned about the First Thanksgiving, and its many traditions, by reading a non-fiction book about the holiday.
