children dressed as the letters Q and U pretending to get married

It may have been ā€œpretend,ā€ but that didn’t stop the Primary Elementary School’s kindergarten class from celebrating an important lesson.

On Valentine’s Day, the class held a mock wedding in the school cafeteria to celebrate the partnership of the letters ā€œQā€ and ā€œU.ā€  Q and U

Two-by-two, kindergarten students, dressed in red, entered the cafeteria and walked down an aisle leading to the stage. A student dressed as the uppercase letter ā€œQā€ was then escorted down the aisle by Mr. Williams, physical education teacher, as a student dressed as the uppercase letter ā€œUā€ awaited. Once together, the ā€œQā€ and ā€œUā€ students exchanged vows. The ceremony was officiated by Mrs. O’Connell, Primary Elementary principal.

The fun exercise reminded the kindergarten students of the special relationship between the letters ā€œQā€ and ā€œU.ā€ As learned in class, the letters ā€œtogether foreverā€ spell words such as quarter, quack, quiet, queen and quilt.

Fun was had by all!
