Thanks to some neat technology, art was brought to life!
Mrs. Davis, coordinator of the district’s Zone for Imagination, Innovation and Inspiration, taught Mrs. Tarasiewicz’s third grade class about “augmented reality” through art on February 14.
For the activity, students colored special coloring sheets that were then scanned through an application called Quiver. The app transferred the students’ coloring sheets into 3-D animated images that could move!
“It augments the reality so that both the student and their ‘live’ artwork are able to exist within the same time and space,” Mrs. Davis said. “We were able to project all the animated art onto a television through Apple TV for the whole class to view.”
