The Primary Elementary School Art Show carried on - - virtually.
The virtual show includes artwork from students in grades K-2, and is a compilation of projects completed during the 2019-20 school year.
In grades K-2, art class focuses on exploration, experimentation and play with a variety of media and materials.
“Students are exposed to as many art materials and processes as possible, including using crayons, markers, oil pastels, chalk and ink and collage, printing, painting with watercolor and tempera paint and sculpture,” Mrs. Bevins, Primary Elementary School art teacher, said.
Kindergarten Projects – Line Lions, Gustav Klimt Trees of Life, Stamped Polar Bears, Spring Cherry Blossom Scrolls and Mixed Media Tiny (Dandelion) Seed Texture Prints
First Grade Projects – Mixed Media Rocket Ships, Royal Self Portraits and Mary Blair Inspired Fairytale Castles
Second Grade Projects – Highlights of Winter Pine Tree Observation Drawings, Wayne Thiebaud Inspired Cakes, Mixed Media Color Scientists, Laurel Burch Patterned Cats and Collage Landscapes
