Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order 202.26, the annual budget vote and school board election has been scheduled for June 9, 2020, and will be held by absentee ballot only.

Every qualified voter in the Westmoreland Central School District will be sent an absentee ballot together with a postage-paid return envelope and instructions for completing the same. If you are a qualified voter and did not receive an absentee ballot, an absentee ballot(s) may be requested by contacting Mary Ann Hawkins, district clerk, at (315) 557-2658 or mhawkins@westmorelandschool.orgTo be counted, all completed absentee ballots must be dropped off at the Office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, or mailed and received by the Office of the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Also, please note, per an executive order from the Governor, June 9, 2020 was the deadline for a voter to request and receive an absentee ballot.

When returning your absentee ballot, please make sure to follow these directions:

1.     Only one absentee ballot per return envelope.

2.     On the return envelope, fill out your address and sign.

As an alternative to traditional mail, there will be a secure drop box at the entrance of the Westmoreland district offices on Friday, June 5, and Monday, June 8, from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and Tuesday, June 9, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Also, please know the district mailed absentee ballots out using a registered voters list provided by the Oneida County Board of Elections. Again, if you are a qualified voter and did not receive an absentee ballot, please contact the district clerk.
