Parents, Guardians and Community Members:
The Westmoreland Central School District has started the complicated, challenging and meticulous process of planning for the re-opening of the Jr./Sr. High School, Upper Elementary School and Primary Elementary School to students, staff and the general community for the 2020-21 school year. The re-opening process will include and involve experts in instruction, operations, transportation, food service, athletics and many other areas that are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a school district. 
The district also values your input and wants to hear from you!
The Westmoreland Central School District is kicking off a “Summer Bus Tour” of the entire district to discuss the re-opening of school and receive input from parents, guardians, community members and students. At each stop of the tour, Superintendent of Schools Rocco Migliori, Board of Education members and other school officials will provide an update on re-opening plans, solicit feedback and answer questions. Teachers and staff will also be present with fun activities for students.
The first two stops of the tour are scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, at the following locations:
9:00-9:45 a.m. – Stanwix Heights Volunteer Fire Department, 6580 Bartlett Road, Rome
10:15-11:00 a.m. – Seymour’s Diner, 4836 State Route 233, Westmoreland

Pre-registration is necessary so the district can plan ahead and ensure all New York State health and safety guidelines, such as social distancing and the use of face coverings, are followed. Additionally, consistent with current state guidelines, each tour stop is limited to no more than 25 persons.
In summary, Parents/Guardians/Community Members can expect:
-Meet and greet with Superintendent Migliori and a representative from the Board of Education
Students can expect:
-Enrichment activities provided by Westmoreland teachers
-Snacks and refreshments provided by the Westmoreland PTO
