Amanda Wirene joined the Westmoreland Central School District as a long-term first grade substitute teacher for the 2020-21 school year.
Ms. Wirene has been a classroom teacher and reading specialist since 2009. She previously taught Kindergarten and middle school English Language Arts and Social Studies. She has a Master’s degree in Elementary Education.
“I love working with young, curious minds,” Ms. Wirene said. “I love reading and learning.”
In her spare time, Ms. Wirene enjoys anything outdoors. She also volunteers at her church.
“Every educator in the area says teachers love working at Westmoreland,” Mrs. Wirene added.
