As we are feeling the stress of the times, I’m urging you to practice mindfulness.  Westmo logo

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness can help reduce stress and increase coping skills. 

Tools I’m encouraging all students to practice include progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing, journaling and positive self-talk. More information on these tips, plus others, can be found on the bulletin board in the high school.
