In September 2020, Governor Cuomo signed legislation pursuant to Labor Law Section 27-c requiring all New York State public employers, including schools, to adopt a plan no later than April 1, 2021, for operations in the event of a declared public health emergency involving a communicable disease.
At its meeting on February 3, the Board of Education approved the district’s “Pandemic Operations Plan” for public comment. The plan was developed by the District Safety Committee under the direction of Steve Polera, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Pupil Personnel.
