Dear Parents/Guardians:
This morning, we learned a seventh grade student and ninth grade student tested positive for COVID-19. Due to privacy laws, we are not able to share the identity of the students or share details of their cases. However, we can confirm that the seventh grade student was last in school on Wednesday, April 28, and the ninth grade student was last in school on Tuesday, April 27. 
The district is currently working with the Oneida County Department of Health to complete contact tracing. All individuals determined to have been a “close contact” will be contacted and placed into precautionary quarantine unless it is determined not to be necessary in accordance with state and county guidelines. In-person learning at the Jr./Sr. High School will resume as normal.
As always, the safety and well-being of our students, staff and community are our number one priority. Despite the recent decrease in daily positive COVID-19 cases in our region, it is impossible to completely eliminate the risks COVID-19 poses and it is important to remain vigilant. It is also important to stay home if you are feeling ill.
