*Water was tested and determined to be safe. Drinking fountains are back in service.*
May 3, 2021
Parents/Guardians of Jr./Sr. High School Students:
Due to discoloration discovered over the weekend, the drinking fountains at the Jr./Sr. High School are temporarily out of service and water should not be used for consumption.
The problem was inspected by a plumber this morning, May 3. The plumber believes there is an issue with the school’s water softener system, causing water to turn blue. The company that installed the water softener system will be on site Tuesday, May 4 to further investigate and, hopefully, rectify the problem.
In the interim, and as a safety precaution, all drinking fountains have been covered. Bottled water is also available for students and staff in the Jr./Sr. High School cafeteria.
The water at the Jr./Sr. High School will be tested before consumption can resume.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to keep you updated.
Sincerely,
Rocco Migliori
Superintendent of Schools
