In lieu of a field trip, Mrs. Kirk’s, Mrs. Mayenzet’s and Mrs. Riggles’ third grade students participated in a Virtual Farm Fest on June 3.
As part of the special day, students spun wool to make bracelets, used seeds to make “living” necklaces, learned about chick development and hatching, took part in a poster contest and chatted virtually with local farmers. The day culminated with students making – and then eating – vanilla ice cream in the cafeteria.
Farm Fest is an annual tradition and aligns with the third grade curriculum.
