Seventy-three sixth grade students are headed to the Jr./Sr. High School for the 2021-22 school year.
Sixth Grade Moving Up took place on Thursday, June 17, outside on the football field under perfect sunny skies.
The ceremony commenced with a processional and opening remarks from Upper Elementary School Principal Mr. Haskell. Seventh grade students, Juliana Acee and Samantha Parzych, were the keynote speakers. They spoke about their first year in the Jr./Sr. High School and offered some sound advice.
After the presentation of certificates, Student Council President Nolan Murphy addressed those in attendance. Mrs. Wicks and the sixth grade teachers also handed out “specials” awards.
The ceremony concluded with the sixth grade class singing “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman.
Congratulations, sixth grade students, and best of luck in the Jr./Sr. High School!
