The start of the new school year is quickly approaching!
In addition to making sure your child has the standard items like a backpack, notebooks, folders, pens and pencils, the Oneida County Health Department is reminding parents about the importance of immunizations.
According to the Oneida County Health Department, many children missed out on routine vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Check with your doctor to make sure your child is up-to-date with immunizations.
Also, as a reminder – all children 12 years of age and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer). If your child receives the first dose of Pfizer by August 3, your child will be fully vaccinated by the start of school.
