The Westmoreland-Oriskany Boys Varsity Soccer team capped off “Senior Night” with a big 9-0 shutout victory over Little Falls/Dolgeville, at home, on September 21.
Westmoreland-Oriskany got off to a fast start, scoring eight of its nine goals in the first half.
Seven different players scored for the Bulldogs. Johann Bratge and Jack Tamburino each had two goals and Jacob Usyk, Tyler Szarek, Jack Tagliaferri, Jonathan Dillon and Caleb Miller all had one goal. David Cronauer, Dakota Sill and Matthew Doyle took turns playing goal, and combined to make nine saves.
James Longwell, goalkeeper for Little Falls/Dolgeville, made 24 saves.
Before the start of the game, Westmoreland-Oriskany honored its nine seniors – Johann Bratge, Tyler Crumb, Jon Dillon, Matthew Doyle, Nathan Larish, Patrick Maher, Caleb Miller, Max Staver and Mark VanDeusen – with a brief “Senior Night” ceremony at midfield.
Westmoreland-Oriskany’s (5-1) next game is against Clinton (3-1), at home, on Thursday, September 23, at 4:30 p.m.
