Westmoreland-Oriskany Boys Varsity Soccer Coach Gil Palladino achieved another major milestone on October 6 – his 500th career win as a high school coach.
The feat came in a 5-0 victory over Sherburne-Earlville at Westmoreland Jr./Sr. High School.
Before coming to Westmoreland-Oriskany, Palladino coached boys soccer at the Clinton Central School District for 29 years, with 22 of those years as head varsity coach. During his nearly three-decade stint at Clinton, Palladino won 12 league titles and two sectional titles.
Westmoreland-Oriskany (9-2) hits the road for its next game to take on Little Falls/Dolgeville. The game is scheduled for Friday, October 8, at 4:30 p.m.
Westmoreland-Oriskany shut out Little Falls/Dolgeville 9-0 at home on September 21.
Congratulations, Coach Palladino!
