sticky notes with motivational tips on them

An act of kindness can go a long way.

That was the catalyst behind β€œKindness Day,” which the Jr./Sr. High School celebrated on November 16.  Post-it notes

For the special day, students and staff were encouraged to make random acts of kindness. The acts came in all shapes and forms, and were as simple as a compliment on a post-it note. A group of students also sat at a table outside the cafeteria during lunch periods offering all who passed by the chance to grab a post-it note and write a positive message to display or share.

Leading up to β€œKindness Day,” a 60-second kindness clip was played during the morning announcements on November 12. A group of students stayed after school to decorate mirrors in bathrooms with positive messages on November 15.

β€œKindness Day” was organized by Mrs. Muir, school social worker, and Mrs. Cleveland, health teacher.
