sticky notes with motivational tips on them

An act of kindness can go a long way.

That was the catalyst behind “Kindness Day,” which the Jr./Sr. High School celebrated on November 16.  Post-it notes

For the special day, students and staff were encouraged to make random acts of kindness. The acts came in all shapes and forms, and were as simple as a compliment on a post-it note. A group of students also sat at a table outside the cafeteria during lunch periods offering all who passed by the chance to grab a post-it note and write a positive message to display or share.

Leading up to “Kindness Day,” a 60-second kindness clip was played during the morning announcements on November 12. A group of students stayed after school to decorate mirrors in bathrooms with positive messages on November 15.

“Kindness Day” was organized by Mrs. Muir, school social worker, and Mrs. Cleveland, health teacher.
