School, alone, has its challenges. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only created more obstacles for students to overcome.
On November 23, Upper Elementary students were rewarded for their hard work, determination and effort during the first marking period with a special “Minute-To-Win-It” assembly in the school gym. To allow for proper social distancing, there were two assemblies – one for third and fourth grade students and another for fifth and sixth grade students.
Randomly chosen students from each grade level participated in six different one-minute challenges as their classmates cheered on.
“Even through all the challenges, students are coming to school each day with smiles on their faces,” Upper Elementary School Principal Mr. Haskell said. “Students and staff have been working very hard, and I am proud of everyone.”
The challenges were designed by Mrs. Davis, Zone for Imagination, Innovation and Inspiration (Zi3) coordinator.
