Mr. Williams, Primary Elementary School physical education teacher, devoted class time to raising awareness about physical disabilities.

Students from all grade levels in Mr. Williams’ classes participated in a variety of activities that simulated a physical disability, such as playing basketball in a wheelchair and walking blindfolded.

“It’s important to teach children about disabilities at a young age,” Mr. Williams said. “We all should be accepting of everyone and a disability shouldn’t prevent someone from participating in an educational or social environment.”

Acceptance is one of many themes Mr. Williams stresses throughout the school year.
