The Primary Elementary School is holding a “March Reading Challenge” during the month of March. The goal is for students and staff to read enough books to create a chain of book titles around the entire school!
Participating is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Directions for Primary Elementary School families:
1. Read a book at home with your child, or if your child is an independent reader and prefers to read to themselves, encourage them to read a book.
2. Write the name of the title of the book your child read on the (provided) chain link.
3. When the (provided) packet is complete, have your child return the packet to school. We will cut out the chain links at school and add them to the chain. Each time a child brings back a completed packet of chain links, they will earn a reward.
The team with the most chain links on March 31 will win an ice cream party!
The “March Reading Challenge” will conclude with a “Read Around the School Spirit Week.”
Monday, March 28 – “Hats Off to Reading” (wear hats)
Tuesday, March 29 – “PAWsitively Wild About Reading” (wear animal print or Bulldog gear)
Wednesday, March 30 – “Read a Shirt Day” (wear a shirt with words on it)
Thursday, March 31 – “Team Up for Reading Day” (wear sports jerseys/sports clothes)

We hope all of our Primary Elementary School families will participate in the “March Reading Challenge!”
