a sign on the school lawn that reads "We Love Our Westmo Teachers & Staff"

Teacher Appreciation Week is being celebrated the week of May 2!

Since 1984, the National PTA has designated one week in May as a special time to honor the individuals who lend their passion and skills to educating our children.  “We Love Our Westmo Teachers & Staff” sign

According to the National PTA, the COVID-19 pandemic has ushered in a new way of teaching and learning. From in-person to virtual to a hybrid learning environment (some all in one school year!), students have faced challenging, yet innovative times in their learning and development – and teachers have been at the heart of it all!

So, let’s give the teachers in our lives a special thanks for all that they do during Teacher Appreciation Week – because “Teaching is a Work of Heart!”

As a sign of its appreciation, the Westmoreland PTO placed a “We Love Our Westmo Teachers & Staff” sign in front of the Jr./Sr. High School and provided “goodies” to school staff.
