The Westmoreland Varsity Baseball team celebrated Senior Day at its home game against Frankfort-Schuyler on May 17. As part of the special occasion, the team’s seniors and their parents were recognized before opening pitch.

The Bulldogs improved to 14-0 with a 15-1 win over Frankfort-Schuyler. Starting pitcher Hunter Kierpiec earned the victory while only giving up one hit and striking out 11. Carson Nestved went two for three and led the Bulldogs with four RBI. With the loss, Frankfort-Schuyler fell to 8-6 overall.

Westmoreland will learn who it will play first in the Section III playoffs on May 22.

Congratulations to Westmoreland’s six seniors – Matthew Doyle, Gerald Fiorini, Jacob Ingersoll, Caleb Miller, Carson Nestved and Joshua Suber – and best of luck to the entire team during the playoffs!
