The Westmoreland Varsity Softball team celebrated Senior Day at its home game against Frankfort-Schuyler on May 18. As part of the special occasion, the team’s seniors and their parents were recognized before opening pitch.
After only scoring two runs in the first inning, the Lady Bulldogs went on to score 10, 5 and 12 runs in each of the next three innings to beat Frankfort-Schuyler 29-4.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 9-3 overall. Frankfort-Schuyler fell to 0-9 overall. Westmoreland will learn who it will play first in the Section III playoffs on May 22.
Congratulations to Westmoreland’s three seniors – Grace Chrysler, Payton Kingwater and Samantha Wilson – and best of luck to the entire team during the playoffs!
