Despite tallying more shots, the Westmoreland Girls Varsity Soccer team could not find the back of the net and fell to Dolgeville in the first round of the Section III Class C playoffs 1-0, at home, on October 18. 
Kerisa Van Olst made 16 saves for the No. 11 seeded Lady Blue Devils. Jakyra Miller scored Dolgeville’s lone goal.
Senior Emily Gubbins made three saves for No. 6 seed Westmoreland.
With the loss, Westmoreland finishes the 2022 season with an 11-6 overall record. Dolgeville will play No. 3 seed Sauquoit Valley in the Section III Class C quarterfinals on October 20.
Westmoreland expects to return 11 of 15 players for next year.
