Dear Primary Elementary School Families:
The Westmoreland Primary Elementary is excited to announce it is holding a One School, One Book initiative during the month of November. This event is designed to engage readers and families across our district in a shared reading experience. This year, our school will be reading Toys Go Out, a fictional story that reveals the friendship of three brave and loving toys. 
Each child in pre-k through second grade will receive a copy of the book. Families will be encouraged to read each section of the book according to the calendar outlined here. Various guest speakers from our schools will be recording each section of the book which will be housed on the district website if children wish to listen to the story. School activities, such as daily trivia questions, will allow students to demonstrate understanding of the book.
We hope that this reading experience will bring you and your child a great deal of joy, and bring our school community together this year. We look forward to great conversations, meaningful learning, and a shared reading experience for all.
