On November 13, 2018, district voters approved a proposed capital project. The project, designed to keep our school campus as safe, updated and conducive to learning as possible, is officially underway. 
There are four major components:
-Life Safety -ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Compliance -Energy Savings -Standard Replacements/Upgrades

Update #2: July 31, 2020
Installation of a new lift at Bus Garage
The footers for the Bus Garage addition, which will house a new bus lift in compliance with New York State Department of Transportation standards, were poured. The foundation walls are now under construction (Photo #1 and #2).
Replacement of portions of Jr./Sr. High School roof
The roof above the Jr./Sr. High School Gym has been replaced. The replacement of the roof above the math wing is in progress (Photo #3).
Replacement of Jr./Sr. High School boiler system
The old steam boilers at the Jr./Sr. High School have been removed and the pads for the new boilers have been poured. The old boilers are being replaced with high efficiency hot water boilers and related unit ventilators, creating a total hot water system. The conversion will reduce energy consumption and provide for better temperature control. The new boilers are expected to arrive and be installed soon (Photo #4).
Replacement of Jr./Sr. High School Gym air handling units
All duct work has been completed. New rooftop units are expected to be installed by mid-August (Photo #5 and #6).
Replacement of Jr./Sr. High School Gym floor
The new gym floor has arrived and installation will begin the first week of August. The gym’s walls have been painted (Photo #7).
Improved parking and handicapped parking at Jr./Sr. High School
New drainage has been installed and new sidewalks are expected to be poured/completed within the next week. Milling/paving is also expected to be completed within the next week. A wider bus and parent drop-off/pick-up area at the Jr./Sr. High School adjacent to the gym entrance is being constructed (Photo #8, #9 and #10).
Replacement of portions of Jr./Sr. High School corridor ceiling and installation of new LED lighting
New ceiling grids have been installed (Photo #11).
Classroom upgrades at Jr./Sr. High School
Work is underway to upgrade several classrooms in the Jr./Sr. High School with new ceilings, lighting, vertical unit ventilators and temperature controls – new duct work is in progress (Photo #12 and #13).
Additionally
-A new fire alarm system, along with additional emergency lighting units, is being installed at the Jr./Sr. High School and Primary Elementary School to satisfy the current New York State code requirements for verbal notification and proper coverage.
-As part of the capital project, several doors throughout the district – primarily classroom doors – will be replaced. The new doors, along with existing doors not chosen for replacement, will contain intruder lock function hardware, which allows a door to be locked without stepping into the hallway, or potentially into an unsafe situation. Door glazing will also be replaced with breach restraint glazing. These measures will enhance current safety and security measures already in place.
