Sha’rie Hawkins Named WTA Student of the Year
Congratulations to Sha’rie Hawkins, the Westmoreland Teachers Association Student of the Year for the 2025-26 school year!
The Westmoreland Teachers Association proudly recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, strong character, good citizenship, and active involvement in both school and community activities.
All members of the junior class are initially eligible for this honor, with faculty and staff selecting eight monthly winners throughout the year. From those outstanding students, one student is chosen as the WTA Student of the Year.
This year’s recipient, Sha’rie Hawkins, exemplifies the qualities of leadership, dedication, and service that make our school community so special.

The Westmoreland–New Hartford Kiwanis Club will be hosting a Flower Sale on Saturday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Westmoreland High School. Stop by to shop a beautiful selection of flowers and plants while supporting your local Kiwanis Club and community initiatives.

Westmoreland National Honor Society is hosting a Clothing & Hygiene Product Drive from May 4–June 4 to support our “Bulldog Comfort Closet”! Donations of gently used clothing and new hygiene items will help students in need. Items can be dropped off to the main office or sent to Ms. Nolan's room. Thank you for your support!
