Elementary Students Invited to Participate in Reading Safari Program
Students in grades PreK–6 have the opportunity to participate in the Reading Safari, a literacy program through Enchanted Forest Water Safari that encourages reading outside of the school day.
Through this program, students can earn a FREE ticket to Enchanted Forest Water Safari this summer by completing at least six hours of reading outside of school. The goal is to promote extracurricular reading and strengthen literacy skills while making reading fun and rewarding.
Students recently received a letter and reading log to take home explaining the program in detail. To participate, students must record the book they are reading, the amount of time spent reading, and have a parent or guardian sign the log to verify their reading time. Reading completed during the school day cannot be counted, as the program is designed to encourage reading at home.
Students will have the entire month of March to complete their reading logs, with a deadline of April 2. All logs must be turned in before April break.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to build strong reading habits while earning a fun reward at New York State’s largest water park!
