Last week our third grade students performed skits based around the book, Wonder! This was part of the Upper Elementary School's Power of Words Initiative that kicked off last year. Throughout this school year, teachers and students have been focusing on words and how they can make an impact. Our students did a wonderful job!

Congratulations to the Westmoreland-Oriskany Indoor Track athletes who qualified for states and will be heading to Staten Island in March! Riley Smith, Damian Simmonds, Emma Szarek and Tyler Szarek competed in the state qualifier at Onondaga Community College yesterday! They were escorted home by the Westmoreland and Oriskany Fire Departments! A job well done!

Yesterday our 7th and 8th grade modified basketball team met Latavius Murray, a Running Back for the Buffalo Bills. Murray signed autographs and spoke with our athletes! This was such a wonderful experience for our kids!

Families had a blast at the Museum of Light and Sound earlier this week! Students engineered and designed devices that communicate across a distance. There were also other activities to help families understand how light and sound travel! Take a look at the photo gallery!
