STATEMENT FROM THE DISTRICT ON FALSE SCHOOL VIOLENCE THREATS: "Administrators with the Westmoreland Central School are aware of unfounded swatting calls pertaining to school violence. While Westmoreland hasn't fallen victim to calls yet, some local schools have. We want to reassure you that school safety is our number one priority. We have a police presence in each of our buildings every day. Our School Resource Officers and Special Patrol Officers are aware of the threats and are ensuring all students, faculty, and staff remain safe. Know that we take these matters very seriously and will always focus on school safety."

This week, Westmoreland High School students in Mrs. Weissenberger's media production class are teaching Primary School students about money! This group of high schoolers are interested in a career in education, so they created a PowerPoint presentation and an activity for the kids. They set up a "store" in Mrs. Livermore's library class and the students "buy" what they want with the money they're given. The purpose, to teach the younger generation how to count money. Fantastic job!
