FOOD DISTRIBUTION: The Country Pantry will be having a food distribution on Monday, April 17 at the Church of Annunciation in Clark Mills. Families can line up starting at 8 a.m., and they will open at 9:45 a.m.

The Westmoreland PTO Easter Egg Hunt over the weekend was a hit! A wonderful turnout, and families really loved visiting with the Easter Bunny and the Peep! Thank you to everyone who came out for some fun!

Join us on April 6th between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Let staff know when you get there that you're supporting the Westmoreland NJHS fundraiser and they'll donate a portion of the profits to the organization. STATEMENT FROM THE DISTRICT ON FALSE SCHOOL VIOLENCE THREATS:
"Administrators with the Westmoreland Central School are aware of unfounded swatting calls pertaining to school violence. While Westmoreland hasn't fallen victim to calls yet, some local schools have. We want to reassure you that school safety is our number one priority. We have a police presence in each of our buildings every day. Our School Resource Officers and Special Patrol Officers are aware of the threats and are ensuring all students, faculty, and staff remain safe. Know that we take these matters very seriously and will always focus on school safety."
Students had a great time with their "peeps" at the Zi3 STEAM Peep Night! Families enjoyed a "peep' show, Peep racing, painting, and more! It's a fun way for students to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! Check out the photos from great night:
Miss Lisa's Pre-K class spent Wednesday afternoon with some of their favorite people! It was Special Persons Day in her classroom! Students prepared snacks and did some crafts with their special person! Check out the photos:

This week, Westmoreland High School students in Mrs. Weissenberger's media production class are teaching Primary School students about money! This group of high schoolers are interested in a career in education, so they created a PowerPoint presentation and an activity for the kids. They set up a "store" in Mrs. Livermore's library class and the students "buy" what they want with the money they're given. The purpose, to teach the younger generation how to count money. Fantastic job!
Join us for an "egg-citing" time! Westmoreland PTO is inviting families to an Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday at the Track Field. There will be candy, prizes, and pictures with the Easter Bunny! The hunt starts at 10:15 a.m. sharp, so get there at 10:00 a.m. More details in the flyer below:
ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS: The time for Wednesday night's STEAM Peep Night has changed. It will now be from 5:30-6:45 p.m. at the Upper Elementary in order to accommodate those who are going to the concert at the Jr./Sr. High School. Thank you for understanding!
This morning, students in the Primary Elementary School got a nice surprise! Bunny Storey, the Primary Project Associate, read her book she wrote "The Bunny Train" to classes. She gave each student their own copy and signed them! They loved her book!
Enjoy a fun Friday night with friends! On March 24th, 3rd and 4th grade students are invited to a "Fun Night" at the Upper Elementary. It's a great opportunity for them to play games and hang out with their friends! This event runs from 6:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Admission is $3.00 per student, and they can bring money to buy pizza, snacks, and water. Upper Elementary staff will be chaperones for the night.
Westmoreland PTO is putting on a roller skating glow party for Westmo students in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th! The party is March 30, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Skate-A-While Longer in Rome. If your child is interested in attending, parents should contact PTO President, Bambi Patterson, at (315) 527-0515 by March 24th!
